Meribel

The Three Valleys has the worlds most impressive lift-linked network of pistes and skiable terrain with 600km and 200 lifts, and is hard to beat in terms of convenience, breadth and depth of skiing.  As Meribel is nestled in the heart of the Three Valleys and has a traditional charm it is a very popular resort amongst keen skiers.  It has attractive wooden chalet-style buildings and an excellent selection of shops, bars and restaurants making it one of the liveliest ski resorts in the Three Valleys.

Meribel Ski and Snowboard

Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, advanced or absolute expert there is something for everyone when skiing in Meribel.  The 600km of skiing and 200 linked lifts mean you can ski a different area each day and never get bored.  From the main lift station you can climb either side of the valley by gondola and find yourself either at Saulire admiring the view down to Courchevel or at La Tougnete with its access to Val Thorens and Les Menuires.  Being the Coeur des 3 Vallees - "Heart of the 3 Valleys" Meribel really is the ultimate place for the keen skier to stay.

The Three Valleys is also kind to beginners.  Once you have got the hang of the blues, you can ski the whole of the three valleys without leaving a blue piste.  For intermediates and advanced, there are plenty of challenging runs to keep you occupied.  Try giving the bumps a go on Bosses and feel the burn! There is also plenty of off piste to be had, Meribel Couloir being a favourite, just to the left under the Saulire lift.

Snowboarders are not forgotten about in Meribel, there is something for every level of rider and if you are into freestyle, you will be in your element with two snow parks; the moon park at the top of Plan de l'homme and the other in Meribel-Mottaret.

Apres Ski Meribel

Apres ski in Meribel is lively and there is always something going on. Choose between such bars as La Taverne,  Barometer (try a Mutzig or two, but beware of wobbly legs afterwards)! For a more civilised drink, try le Post.  For later evening antics, Le Pub often has live music, and Dicks is a must!  If however, you really feel the need for some French Euro pop, then head on down to Le Loft and dance the night away.

If you fancy a drink before skiing your last run home, then go the Le Rond Point also known as The Ronny where you are sure to have good time with toffee vodka, beer by the jug and live music.  Happy hour is from 4-5 and the bands start at 5 till 7.
